Our Differences

For you and your next generation. . .
Health and safety is key in buying and shipping organic dairy products. Trust is also important. We are committed to providing you and your family with the most nutritious, chemical-free food you can bring home. You will minimize the risk of illness and find the best way to avoid consuming pesticides, herbicides, and synthetic hormones into your diet by investing in quality organic products. As with any product (including organics) not all are created equally or in your best interest.

Producer Founded & Directed
Organic Choice was founded by a group of dedicated producers who believed that the organic marketplace has grown significantly and that a Choice should be offered dairy producers when shipping their milk. We have no equity requirement or large corporate staff that requires salaries or a multi-million dollar headquarters. Our paychecks are easily understood and your pay price is clear. The Code of Ethics we publish is our commitment to you of an honest and open relationship. Politics are for politicians or those who have something to hide. We have a business focus that is dedicated to promoting you the producer or organic brand. We have varied backgrounds that make us stronger. We've seen dairy marketing done well and poorly. We've seen promises broken and greed take over good intentions. Organic Choice is not about being right, but doing the right thing. We've taken the best of organic marketing and built it into Organic Choice, we've identified the bad and left it out of our company. You will find a different approach with us. A fair and balanced approach.

Non-Competitive Source
Currently Organic Dairy buyers purchase most of their organic dairy ingredients from sources that compete with them in retail stores. Imagine yourself buying raw organic milk or other ingredients from a company that also has a label next to you on store shelves. You become dependent on your competitor for your future growth and present stability. Organic Dairy Buyers have long waited for a company like Organic Choice to stand up and provide a quality and consistent source of organic dairy ingredients. The best part for the Organic Buyers is we will not compete with them at retail. We work with many brands and labels and promote Organic Dairy in whole not a small part.

Grass Fed & Grazed Cows
Cows need fresh pasture. Large dairies (including some organic dairies) confine their cows and feed grain but do not allow for sun, grass and natural exercise. You may be surprised that this management style may still earn the dairy a 100% Certified Organic status. Take the time to get to know your food source. Insist on seeing pictures of the farms, cows and farmers. Grazing is an essential ingredient in the quality of the dairy products we produce and science cannot decode, clone or replace the ingredients found in sun, grass, gentle care and fresh air.

University of Wisconsin confirms that milk from grazed cows can contain up to 500% more Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) than milk from confined cows.

CLA is a fatty acid found in milk. Scientific interest in CLA was stimulated about 12 years ago when a University of Wisconsin researcher discovered its cancer-fighting properties in a study. The human body cannot produce CLA, but it can be obtained through foods such as milk, butter, beef, and lamb that has been grass fed and grazed.

Family Farms
Organic Choice farms and dairies are certified organic and also adhere to the strict Achievement program set by the owners/founders of Organic Choice. Our farms are small to ensure our cows receive humane treatment, proper care, and the availability of fresh air, sunshine and pasture. Special care is taken from start to finish in the production of our dairy products to ensure that you get the best quality and taste.

Our story goes deeper. Our cows are raised on healthy, grass fed diets located in West Central Wisconsin. Our management methods and land stewardship practices help to sustain the ecological integrity of our watersheds and groundwater. We also believe that grass fed milk from cows that are well treated and less stressed means the creamiest, most flavorful milk available.

We feel strongly this is at the core of organics and the core of why you are purchasing or considering purchasing organics. Thank you for your interest and investment in Organic Choice and we look forward to serving your organic dairy needs long into the future!
